Parks and Sustainability Board Vacancies

The City of Red Lodge is seeking two (2) people to volunteer and serve on the Red Lodge Sustainability Board, and one (1) person to volunteer on the Parks, Trees and Recreation Board. 

The typical appointment to the Sustainability Board is for a term of two (2) years. The Sustainability Board serves in an advisory capacity.  The Sustainability Board will work and cooperate with the Mayor, City Council, City staff, and local organizations to implement the strategies of the Energy Conservation Plan. The Board may also be asked to participate in public outreach meetings. The Sustainability Board typically meets every third Monday of the month at 4:00pm. Applicants must reside in Carbon County.

The typical appointment to the Parks, Trees and Recreation Board is for a term of three (3) years.  The Parks Board serves in an advisory capacity. The Parks Board makes recommendations for the following issues: park, trail and tree projects, legislative changes, park plans, park maintenance and recommends to the City Council on matters pertaining to Title 8 of the Red Lodge Municipal Code. The Parks Board typically meets every first Wednesday of the month at 5:30pm. Applicants must reside within 5 miles of the City limits.

Letters must be received by 5:00 p.m. on December 23, 2021, with appointments made by the Mayor and City Council at the next available City Council meeting in January 2022.
