Red Lodge City Court Of Record

The Red Lodge City Court of Record is an independent branch of government constitutionally entrusted with the fair and just resolution of disputes. The Court works diligently to efficiently and effectively accomplish the duties of the Red Lodge City Charter, the laws and Constitutions of the State of Montana and the United States.

The City Court is a Court of Limited Jurisdiction within the 22nd Judicial District of Montana, and maintains a regulated court docket. The City Court has jurisdiction of all criminal misdemeanor and ordinance violations of the Red Lodge City Code, State law and traffic offenses committed within the City limits. It operates under the Montana Justice and City Court Rules of Civil Procedure and the Montana Uniform Rules for the Justice and City Courts. 

COVID-19

The Red Lodge City Court of Record will remain open for business as usual until further notice during the COVID-19 infectious disease outbreak/pandemic.

The Court will be very tolerant of people who have been or are worried about becoming exposed to COVID-19.

Masks are only required in the Courtroom when you can not socially distance.
