Parks

Drawing of a park

Red Lodge City Parks promote a healthy community while providing economic, social, & environmental benefits. There are various parks located throughout Red Lodge for the enjoyment of residents and visitors. The City of Red Lodge and the Parks Board help to ensure that those areas are not only beautiful and inviting but kept safe and accessible.

Each year, volunteers can participate in Parks Clean-Up events. For more information, visit the Parks Clean-Up page.

Wildlife Awareness

Red lodge is rich with natural history and includes regular wildlife sightings, whether you are in a park or driving through town.

  • Always carry bear spray. Bear spray can be used on a number of wildlife if it is needed.
  • Educate yourself on when wildlife are active.
  • Maintain a safe distance. Do not approach or harass any wildlife.
  • Do not feed wildlife.
  • If you come across an animal that is acting aggressive, please contact Montana FWP or the Carbon County Sherriff's dispatch at (406) 445-1234.
