NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Red Lodge will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 9, 2024, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the City Hall at 1 S Platt Avenue. The City has scheduled the hearing to obtain public comments regarding proposed improvements to the City’s sanitary sewer system. With assistance from GreatWest Engineering, the City is preparing a wastewater preliminary engineering report (PER) and is considering preparing applications for funding from the Montana Department of Commerce, Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, USDA Rural Development, and/or the Department of Environmental Quality’s Clean Water State Revolving Fund Program.
At the public hearing, representatives of Red Lodge and Great West Engineering will explain the purpose of the project, the project area, the scope of work, budget, possible sources of funding, and any costs that may result for local citizens because of the project. Copies of the draft PER will be available at City Hall following the hearing. During the public hearing, residents may ask questions and express their opinions regarding the project and its impact on the City.
Residents can submit written comments and questions about the project at any time by dropping them off at the City offices at 1 S Platt Avenue or mailing them to P.O. Box 9, Red Lodge, MT 59068.
