NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Red Lodge will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the City Hall at 1 S Platt Avenue.  The City has scheduled the hearing to obtain public comments regarding proposed improvements to the City’s sanitary sewer system.  With assistance from Great West Engineering, the City is preparing a wastewater preliminary engineering report (PER) and is considering preparing applications for funding from the Montana Department of Commerce, Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, USDA Rural Development, and/or the Department of Environmental Quality’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Program.

At the public hearing, representatives of Red Lodge and Great West Engineering will explain the purpose of the project, the project area, the scope of work, budget, possible sources of funding, and any costs that may result for local citizens because of the project. Great West Engineering will also present its assessment of the project's impact on the environment. Copies of the draft environmental assessment and PER will be available at City Hall following the hearing.  During the public hearing, residents may ask questions and express their opinions regarding the project and its impact on the City.

Residents can submit written comments and questions about the project at any time by dropping them off at the City offices at 1 S Platt Avenue or mailing them to P.O. Box 9, Red Lodge, MT  59068.  Residents may also contact Great West Engineering's Project Manager, Chad Hanson, PE at (406) 652-5000 or chanson@greatwesteng.com with questions.
